The #Concluding #ceremony of All #India #seminar on #Renewable #energy: Perspective and #Challenges was organised by The Institution of Engineers (India) in Association with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. The participants presented their #research #papers on various topics. A total of 22 papers were presented in two days. The last day session was chaired by Dr.R.Jha. Our #alumnus, Er. Manminder Singh (Batch 2010-CSE), Er. Shivam Aggarwal (Batch 2010-EE), Er. Vipul Mehta (Batch 1998-ME), shared their #experiences and delivered various talks to give #exposure to the current #students. They also shared their views and #experiences about the different types of #software #projects handled by the #firm and the #work #culture offered by the #organization. Their talks were attended by the final year students of #CSE and #MBA.

The students were #inspired and #learned a lot from his #lecture. It helped in enhancing the personal & #professional #development of students. The pre-final year #students of #Computer #Science & #Engineering #department, #BBSBEC visited #National #Institute of #Electronics & #Information #Technology (#NIELIT),(erstwhile DOEACC #Society), an #Autonomous #Scientific #Society under the administrative control of #Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MoE&IT).
NIELIT is engaged both in Formal & Non-Formal #Education in the area of IECT besides #development of #industry oriented quality education and #training #programmes in the state-of-the- #art areas. It is also one of the National Examination Body, which accredits institutes/organizations for conducting courses in #IT in the non-formal sector.

IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial Online Test

#Department of #CSE successfully conducted #IIT #Bombay Spoken #Tutorial #Online #Test on 2nd Nov. 2018 (Friday) CSE #Computer #Labs. #Students from various #branches appeared in the Online Test for free #softwares (part of IIT Bombay #FOSS – Free open-source software Project). The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a #Teacher’, activity of the National #Mission on #Education through #Information and #Communication #Technology (ICT). The Spoken Tutorial project is developed by IIT Bombay for #MHRD, #Government of #India. The online test provided platform for the students to test their subject #knowledge and #skillset.
Objective type test of 45 mins. was conducted for softwares such as #Linux, #C, #Latex, #PHP & #MYSQL.
